COMMUNITY INTELLIGENCE

We learn individually. We grow together.

MedAtlas Learning Minds is being built around a simple principle: knowledge created by one person can become valuable to many, but sharing that knowledge should be intentional.

Your workspace begins as your workspace. Eligible educational artifacts may be used in your own teaching and professional activities, and selected artifacts may also be voluntarily contributed to the MedAtlas community.

Community contribution is a choice. It is not the price of creating with MedAtlas.

01 WHY IT MATTERS

FROM INDIVIDUAL KNOWLEDGE TO COMMUNITY VALUE

Good educational work should have the opportunity to travel farther.

Every day, healthcare professionals and learners create questions, explanations, assessments, presentations, teaching resources, scholarly materials, and other educational artifacts. Much of that work is created for a single moment, a single course, or a single learner.

MedAtlas creates the possibility for selected work to persist. When creators choose to contribute eligible artifacts, those resources can become part of a larger educational environment available to other members of the community.

Community intelligence does not mean taking ownership away from the individual. It means creating a responsible pathway through which individuals can choose to make knowledge useful to others.

THE CONTRIBUTION MODEL

Create privately. Use freely. Contribute intentionally. Grow collectively.

01
✦

CREATE

Your work begins with you.

Content created within an individual MedAtlas workspace is not automatically placed into the public community simply because it was generated, completed, or saved.

Creation does not equal publication.
02
↗

USE

Take your work beyond MedAtlas.

Where a MedAtlas product supports export or download, eligible artifacts may be used in courses, presentations, educational activities, scholarship, and other permitted professional settings.

We encourage useful knowledge to be used.
03
+

CONTRIBUTE

Sharing requires a choice.

When an eligible artifact can be contributed to a MedAtlas public collection, the creator is presented with a separate opportunity to make that contribution.

Public contribution is affirmative, not assumed.
04
◎

GROW

Shared knowledge becomes community intelligence.

Contributed artifacts can expand the educational resources available to other learners and professionals, allowing useful work to continue providing value beyond the interaction in which it was created.

Individual contribution creates collective possibility.
02 YOUR CHOICE

A DELIBERATE TRANSITION

There is a boundary between your workspace and the public library.

We believe that boundary should be visible.

PUBLIC ATTRIBUTION

Share the knowledge without requiring the creator to become the product.

When an eligible artifact is contributed to Atlas Public under the community contribution pathway, the creator's identity is not displayed publicly unless a particular publication pathway expressly provides an attribution option and the creator chooses it.

MedAtlas may retain internal provenance, account relationships, artifact identifiers, moderation history, security information, and other records needed to operate and govern the platform.

Publicly unattributed does not mean internally untraceable. This distinction allows MedAtlas to respect public creator privacy while maintaining appropriate provenance, security, quality, and governance records.

ATLAS PUBLIC

A library shaped by the people who learn within it.

Atlas Public is envisioned as the public-facing home for eligible community-contributed educational artifacts.

A learner may create an assessment in AtlasQ. An educator may develop a resource through another MedAtlas environment. When the applicable product supports community contribution, selected artifacts may be intentionally contributed for others to explore and learn from.

Community-created content should not be mistaken for material independently authored, reviewed, or endorsed by MedAtlas Medical Directors. Public collections will distinguish community-contributed material and provide appropriate notices regarding its source and review status.

03 CREATOR RIGHTS

CREATION WITHOUT CAPTIVITY

MedAtlas should help knowledge move, not hold it hostage.

Our intended model separates ownership of a creator's original contribution from the permissions MedAtlas needs to operate its services.

01

Your Original Work

Subject to applicable terms, third-party rights, and institutional obligations, creators retain their rights in original content they contribute to MedAtlas.

02

MedAtlas Permission

Using MedAtlas requires granting the platform the permissions reasonably necessary to host, process, reproduce, display, transform, and otherwise operate the content as part of the services requested by the user.

03

Public Contribution

Choosing to contribute an artifact to a public MedAtlas collection may require an additional license allowing MedAtlas to preserve, distribute, display, and make that contributed artifact available to the community.

04

External Use

Eligible downloadable and exportable artifacts may continue to be used outside MedAtlas in accordance with applicable terms, licenses, laws, and third-party rights.

RESPONSIBLE COMMUNITY INTELLIGENCE

Open contribution does not mean ungoverned contribution.

Healthcare education carries responsibilities that do not disappear when content is created by a community.

01

Choice

Contribution to public community collections should require an intentional user action.

02

Provenance

MedAtlas may maintain internal records describing where an artifact originated and how it entered the public collection.

03

Transparency

Community-generated material should be identifiable as community content and distinguished from formally reviewed or curated material.

04

Privacy

Creator identity does not need to be publicly displayed for an artifact to contribute educational value.

05

Safety

Public content may be subject to automated controls, moderation, removal, restriction, or additional review when necessary for safety, integrity, or legal compliance.

06

Human Judgment

Community educational content does not replace authoritative sources, faculty judgment, or qualified clinical decision-making.

04 TRANSPARENCY

KNOW WHAT YOU ARE VIEWING

Not every MedAtlas artifact carries the same level of review.

As the ecosystem grows, MedAtlas may contain materials produced through different pathways. Those distinctions matter.

MEDATLAS

Curated Content

Content specifically developed, commissioned, reviewed, or curated through an identified MedAtlas professional or editorial process.

COMMUNITY

Community-Contributed Content

Eligible material voluntarily contributed by a user and made available through a public community collection.

AI-ASSISTED

AI-Assisted Material

Content that may have been generated, transformed, organized, or otherwise assisted by artificial intelligence and should be evaluated accordingly.

A COMMUNITY THAT CAN LEARN

One person's work can become another person's starting point.

Community Intelligence is our commitment to building that possibility without assuming that everything a person creates belongs in public.

Create for yourself. Teach your students. Build something useful. And when you believe it can help someone else, choose to send it forward.

We learn individually. We grow together.
